Executive, Retail Division: Platco
Mmatshipi is the highly astute, experienced, and trusted Retail Executive, and has held the position since April 2014. The retail executive has over 18 years’ experience working in the broadcasting, consumer electronics, FMCG, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical sectors.
His astute personality and professional nature fast saw him climbing the corporate ladder and progressing between various corporate giants such as SAB Miller, Simba, Danone Clover, and Nandos South Africa. The experience that he has gathered over the years has made Mmatshipi a strong leader who possesses a specialist pedigree and expertise in sales, key account, and marketing management.
National Sales Manager: Platco
Malesela is Openview’s Sales Manager, whose core responsibilities lie in Key Account Management, Sales and distribution, Client relationship building, Call Centre management, and Market-related research.
Mabusela previously held sales-focused roles within companies such as British American Tobacco, Samplex Africa, Vodacom, and Standard Bank.
Head of Technology: Platco Digital
Thabiso is Platco Digital’s Head of technology and is main responsibility is to ensure that the platform is operational 24/7 basis. Since joining Platco, Thabiso has developed the Set-Top Box (STB) specifications for Openview and also established the STB test lab, with a key focus on conformance. Thabiso has been in the USA-Silicon Valley and the UK where he learned about STB testing and digital TV headends.
His career in Digital TV broadcasting follows a path that has seen him work at corporations such as DTVI, SABC, Sentech, and the payTV provider TVCABO in Mozambique. Thabiso has been in involved in the testing of the DTT STBs in RSA and also for NBC in Namibia.
Thabiso is involved with the SABS TC74 committee, which develops the standards for broadcasting and electronic equipment for RSA. He is also part of the NAB and the ICASA JSAC committees. He is also registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
Trade Marketing Specialist: Platco
Olivia is Openview’s Trade Marketing Specialist, and she is responsible for managing all the brand’s trade Marketing plans and activities. She provides business support for the company’s retail marketing-related requirements and opportunities, for optimisation and alignment of Openview’s presence and promotion in trade.
Olivia brings with her solid agency and brand marketing experience, holding a BCOM degree from UCT and an Honours in Brand Leadership.
Having made the natural transition to Retail Marketing, Olivia loves servicing both the sales and marketing sides of the business, having creative input, and championing the shopper along the customer journey.
Marketing Manager: Openview
Chantelle is Openview’s Marketing Manager, and she is responsible for strategically positioning the Openview brand in the marketplace by creating awareness about the platform through an integrated marketing communication process.
Coming from a formal background in marketing with both traditional and digital marketing experience, Chantelle is an all-rounder.
She has over 12 years of experience across various industries, and that has broadened her marketing spectrum, allowing her to not only implement strategic marketing plans but to be innovative, pushing boundaries and provide marketing solutions that achieve the objectives of the organisation.
Customer Care Team Leader: Openview
Kholofelo is Openview’s goal-driven Customer Care Team Leader, and she joined the brand’s team in 2018 while completing her second qualification.
Before joining Openview, Kholofelo was a Media studies tutor at CPUT and gained experience in PR & Communications.
Her passion lies in helping others, which includes ensuring that Openview customers are happy and satisfied. Kholofelo believes that the best thing about being a Customer Care team leader is becoming a motivational figure.
Customer Care Team Leader: Openview
Amanda studied Call Centre Operations and Business administration and currently holds the position of Customer Care Team Leader at Openview.
Before assuming her current role, Amanda worked as a call-center agent in 2016 when she first joined eMedia, and later progressed into the role of network operations agent.
She believes that having patience, taking accountability, and showing understanding are characteristics that go a long way in customer service. She is passionate about service delivery and learning more about technology.
For Amanda, challenges create character, and that's how she deals with both life and work.
