Picture this: it’s a Friday night in the mid-2000s. You've convinced your parents to let you stay up a little later, your favourite snacks are within arm’s reach, and the TV is glowing in the corner of the lounge.

If you grew up in that era, there's a good chance White Chicks was on screen.

Released in 2004 and directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans, the comedy classic quickly became a pop-culture phenomenon. Starring brothers Shawn and Marlon Wayans, the film follows FBI agents Marcus and Kevin Copeland as they go undercover as socialite sisters Brittany and Tiffany Wilson in one of the most outrageous disguises ever seen on screen.

More than 20 years later, White Chicks remains one of those movies you simply can't scroll past. Whether you've seen it once or a hundred times, it still delivers the laughs. Here's why it continues to hold a special place in our hearts.

From oversized sunglasses and chunky highlights to velour tracksuits and a whole lot of pink, White Chicks is peak 2000s fashion. Watching it today feels like stepping straight back into the noughties, when flip phones were everywhere, MP3 players were a prized possession, and weekends were spent hanging out at the mall.

The Quotes We Still Can't Forget

Few comedies have produced as many memorable one-liners as White Chicks.

And let's be honest, no one can hear Vanessa Carlton's A Thousand Miles without immediately thinking of Terry Crews' unforgettable performance as Latrell Spencer. It's one of the most iconic comedy scenes of the 2000s and it still makes viewers laugh every single time.

The Comfort of a Movie You Know by Heart

Sometimes you don't want a complicated storyline or a show that demands your full attention. Sometimes you just want something familiar.

That's part of what makes White Chicks so rewatchable. You can jump in at any point and instantly be entertained. Whether it's the dance-off, the shopping scenes, or Latrell's hilarious attempts at romance, every scene feels like revisiting an old friend.
